Learning is a byproduct of passion
Anything can be taught as long as one has passion. A good teacher is one that can ignite passion. And a student is one that is open to lighting that first spark of passion in him.
The question then becomes, are you open to lighting that spark? Do you recognize the stream of knowledge… the talent in question, as an item that you need to acquire?
You are perfectly capable, intellectually strong, driven to succeed and good at what you have identified as skills you need for your job. If then, your skill set is sufficient for your job, you should be able to do extremely well in everyone if your undertakings in your job sphere. If however, you are falling short, your skill set is insufficient…. You need more skills.
If you are truly passionate, you will explore where you are falling short. Your passion will drive you to identify the specific talents that you now need to acquire.
And if you feel that your skill set is sufficient and find yourself looking outside your shortcomings to identify the reasons for your struggle, you clearly lack passion for what you are trying to do. Your ability to learn in that area has stalled.
Growth, success and excellence are by products of learning, and leaning results from passion.
Look within… if you can’t, you are not passionate enough. You might as well stop aspiring for anything at all, lest, your misguided desire leaves you feeling frustrated.
