Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom
Knowledge is not Understanding and Understanding is not Wisdom!!!
And what you need to lead an effective life is at a minimum Understanding!!!
Mere knowledge will not do!
The funny part of life is that all of us know the theory behind almost anything that anyone can ever say! I am sure, you read through all those books, articles and captions that people write and go…. “so what’s this conveying that I do not already know!”…
What enamors us to hear all those great speakers is not the content as much as the effectiveness with which it is rendered….
The problem is that the knowledge of the most profound elements of almost all aspects of our lives has become too easily available!
I call this a problem because, the ease of access to such information leaves us deluded into assuming that we ‘ ‘understand’ it…. where true understanding ensues only when we take the time to bring it into our experience or when life forces that experience upon us!!!
Knowledge is the data that you have gathered… Understanding is the knowhow of how that data may be applied to life’s situations. And Wisdom is the capacity to influence those situations to suit the outcomes defined by you!!!
