Instruments of change
Why do you do it this way? The answer that you get invariably is “It has always been like that!”… Statuesque is rarely challenged and the longer something has been in place, the more the inertia… the fewer the questions about why it has to be that way!
The result is invariably a system that moves at the speed of a slug… a methodology that is so strongly established that it is followed as a ritual at the expense of the efficiency it was set to create.
If you stop long enough to think of why you do what you do… it is likely that you find multiple elements that could readily be displaced or enhanced; and this applies to almost every area of our existence.
The world has come to become something that it does not have to be… And we find ourselves viewing things and participating in them as mere spectators, with little say in how easy it could otherwise be.
And as I say this, I make this appeal to all of us…. Let this thought not just be pointed to the world external to us… Let’s bring this reflection into our own beings… “Why am I doing what I am doing the way I am doing it”?
The world has changed when ever statuesque has been challenged…. And most times, challenging statuesque calls for out of the box thinking, knowledge and clarity of mind and in most cases, a certain level of strength.
How far do you think you are an instrument of such change?
