Take a ‘bug’ as an insult
Yes, I am addressing programmers again!
Imagine a mechanical engineer delivering a bridge and stating that “the bugs found in production can be fixed in the next sprint”. Or how about a civil engineer pushing the blame for a collapsed building over to testers who should have found structural issues.
An average software engineer today draws more money than any other
engineer, yet, software engineers do not hold themselves to the same quality standards that other engineers are expected to.
Testing your code is your job. Producing a quality product is your responsibility. Take insult when others find bugs in your code.
How about delivering code that none can find bugs in? How about delivering a product that actually works?
Would that not boost your ego? Would that not be refreshing?
