Dissociative Identity Disorder….
Psychologists categorize ‘Dissociative Identity Disorder’ as a severe condition in which two or more distinct identities, or personality states, are present in, and alternately take control of, an individual.
I am not a psychiatrist, and I talk of this condition figuratively; but when one’s reaction to a given situation is inconsistent on multiple instances, he is in essence demonstrating a multiple personalities.
At what point is the condition severe enough to be considered a disorder?
When one has a physical condition, one is careful to detect it early enough so as not to allow it to aggregate and affect him. Why don’t most people hold the same thought when it comes to emotional and psychological conditions?
While most physical conditions affect only oneself, emotional and psychological conditions have a wider impact. They can have ripple effects….
Show yourself adequate care. Observe yourself. Detect your problems early. Fix then before they become chronic!
