Difficult to be disciplined….
One thing that most normal people agree on, is that it is difficult to be disciplined.
Where do you strike the balance between living a monastic life bordering on becoming mechanical and just being human?
We hear and tell stories of those that have been able to live a life of such regimentation to carve a place for themselves in this world. And we have all been able to achieve that state at least to some extent at some point of time or the other in our lives…. At a minimum, we made resolutions to that end.
At the bottom of our beings, we know what it takes to be successful… to be proud of ourselves. We are also in awe of people that have been able to keep up a certain level of disciple over the long haul; what ever that discipline may be! Yet, we constantly choose the easy, seemingly pleasant route of laziness, or of giving up our prized habits!
It’s difficult to be disciplined! It might seem too mechanical and non-human like to have to live like that all the time! It is so much desirable to just be happy!
But we also know that happiness is a pursuit that is more to do with how we feel inside of our beings than how our body is comforted on the outside.
We cannot run away from the over-bearing truth that we are spiritual beings having a human experience as much as we like to live in the delusion of the converse!
Let’s for once, turn our attention inwards, for true happiness can only be when the one inside of you is happy. And his nourishment is through discipline!
Commit yourself to true happiness! Nourish the one inside…. Discipline then becomes the food that satisfies, as opposed to a burden that demands!
Disciple is not just the pathway to happiness…. Discipline is your natural frequency…. It is the very journey, and is as such, a happy state of being!
