Are you intelligent enough?
Capability is only one of the factors…
If capability, hard work and dedication could guarantee success, your career graph would only show an ever rising growth curve…. But there is not a single person that has not seen setbacks or at a minimum, phases of complete stagnation!
Your capability is increasing day by day…. Your commitment level, your desire to succeed, your energy… None of these have dampened! You are becoming more experienced by the day, and you know more today than you did in the past.
What then is causing your slowdowns?
There sure are other factors outside your control…. forces that are beyond your understanding… beyond your level of knowledge….
Had you understood every single variable impacting your situation in question, you would never have had any problems. That you are in a situation that is not to your liking is indicative of the fact that it is beyond your ability to comprehend it… And that is a factor of your Intelligence!
Most of us do not like to accept that it may be a factor of inadequate intelligence…. but let’s face it. The universe and the environment around us are too big and too complex for us to know completely and that simply means that we are not intelligent enough….
Philosophy calls this ignorance and calls on us to step into the intelligent realm!
What are out options in this backdrop?
- Refuse to accept that we are not intelligent enough and keep fumbling. Philosophy calls this ego… Logic calls it stupidity!
- Accept that we cannot do anything about it and accept failures as a part of life. This attitude can oscillate anywhere from a defeatist attitude to absolute bliss… You don’t want to bear a defeatist attitude! And less than a few dozen people in all of recorded history have been able to attain that state of absolute bliss… you may not be able to make it to that list!
- Don’t accept failures, but expect to fail… Accept that you do not know everything… be humble as you seek to learn and to grow… Learn from others… learn from history… Continue to work hard and never give up! Be prepared for the worst as you work for the best!
There is not a perfect answer… but if you are looking to succeed in the materialistic/ professional world while maintaining your sanity, option 3 is your only bet!
