When in doubt about what is right
As a lion, you are expected to live up to this tenet: “Whenever a doubt arises as to the right or ethics of my position or action towards others, to resolve such doubt against myself”.
Nature has a way of presenting situations that constantly challenge our understanding of what is right and what is ethical. It is not easy to resist doing the tempting thing when you feel weak. After all, you may only have this one chance at it!
Lion, the King of the beasts, has been chosen, to stand as the icon of the Lion’s Club given its majestic image. It represents the higher aspects of human existence and every ‘Lion member’ is expected to live by that code of ethic.
Being a Lion is about living like one.
It’s true that you might have but that one chance at it. You can use that one chance to grab all you can for yourself; or, you could use it for doing what a Lion would.
It is but that one chance! Will you walk like the Lion?
