You are wasting your time
If you are spending a minute more than you have to on things that don’t add up, you are wasting your time!
Let’s get one thing out of the way as we talk about this: You need time to recharge your batteries. How much time you need and what you do, varies!
Each person is worth something. This is not just a dollar amount; rather, the collective whole of all the endowments that make up the human organism… Physical, Spiritual, Intellectual, Financial, Professional, Social, and so on. You are either investing that time in your being or you are spending it.
If you look into what you are doing and measure it up against where you want to go in that context, you will be appalled at how little of your time actually goes into what you need to do with your life. And this one aspect differentiates the ones that do well from those that struggle.
Time is the only asset that you come to this planet with… It is the only resource you will ever need… it is not yours, yet, you are authorized to spend all of what you have been given; no questions asked! You are the only one you have to answer!
I once had a professor that shared how he kept an account of his time… He would carry a pocket note pad and every 15 minutes, he would make notes of what he did those 15 minutes. At the end of the day, he would categorize each 15 minutes as either ‘adding up’ or ‘wasted’. You get his approach; don’t you?
Why don’t you follow it for a week and see for yourself?
