Ultimately it is character that gets you to the top!
You sure have seen some level of success in your life… And you have most definitely faced setbacks as well! Success and failure are results of not just your vision, strategy, planning, execution, timing, understanding of the innumerable variables that play a part… they are also dependent on factors totally beyond your control in many cases!
Call it the Universe playing a part… Karma… reaping of what you had sown somewhere else… what have you… You cannot possibly guarantee success or foresee failure!
The only thing that you absolutely can control is your reaction to the result… And more importantly, your takeaways… the learnings from those episodes of your life!
When your attitude, your outlook, your confidence, your ethic and your self-esteem are not determined by the outcomes of specific effort bouts… you know you have strong character!
And it is that character which is a resultant of your inner growth, your habits and your unyielding pursuit to excellence that will determine how far you ultimately go and how well your navigate through that journey!
Let not success make you think that you are better than they actually are…. And let not failure cause you to rate yourself beneath your true capabilities!
Character always transcends outcomes…. It is about the code that walks your life!
With such character, you will excel… And when you reach that peak, you know it was a journey well done!
Well written Sashank “…. it is ultimately character that gets you where you aspire”. In Bhagawadgita, as Lord Krishna said “Perform your duty equi-poised, O Arjuna, abandoning all attachment to success or failure. Such an equanimity is called yoga.” Similar are the views of Rudyard Kipling in his poem “If” where he said “……If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster; And treat those two impostors just the same……”

Very well said. The quotation ” Character always transcends outcome ” more or less reflects the teachings of
A Great article where the quotation ” Character always transcends the outcome” is worth adopting in every one’s life. This , more or less, reflects the axiom given by the Holy Bhagavad Gita. Often we just can not control the outcome whatever be our efforts, and it may be futile brooding over it. This attitude is extremely difficult but once the character is moulded on these lines , one is always Happy. Good advice Sashank
