The Challenge of Leadership
If you have been in a position of leadership in situations where you have had to deal with varying expectations needing to be reconciled in the interest of the whole for a certain span of time, you will relate to this:
The toughest challenge of being a leader is to explain the ins and outs and every detail in between to those that have been loyal to you and trust you.
Whether you are a parent or a leader of a strong group, you would have seen the most demand for explaining every aspect of why you are doing what you are doing or are requiring them to do, from those that are the closest to you. And as much as you might be tempted to simply say, “just do it”, you can’t!
The strangeness of human relationships: It’s those that trust you the most and mean the most to you, that also need the most detailing and attention; take things for granted, and everything stands challenged!
