And I have seen this being a problem mostly with managers who struggle to be leaders!
As a manager you always have one or the other person or group pull off a massively good feat and you then have the responsibility of recognizing it….
It is perfectly non-diminishing to just go ahead and thank the other person…. Non-pretentious,unassuming people that are totally comfortable under their own skins are invariably the ones that end up being accepted as leaders. Your team or those associated with you will probably respect you and follow you a lot more, if they see you as such a leader….
Act responsibly…. Go ahead and learn to say “thank you”…. Grow yourself up!!! You will only thank yourself….
