The never changing principles in this ever changing world
There are two principles that you must always live by regardless your nationality, religious or political orientation, gender, age or social standing:
- To do the very best you can at every relationship that you get into
- To be fair to yourself that you may continue to be fair to all
Most principles that are spoken of only cover how one should not be selfish and self centered. And those must be taken seriously as there are too many on this planet who need those lessons.
It is extremely important that you are always fair and giving and caring. Keep it balanced however, that you may continue to be that way.
You can give only what you have… you can give strength when you have it… you can support only when you have a base… and for all of that, you must learn to watch for the point when you are probably denying yourself too much.
Self-denial and standing by your word are extremely good and desirable qualities.
Stand by your word always. Let there be no let up!
Self-denial on the other hand, needs a line drawn, past which you are hurting yourself more than you can afford to.
