Ungrateful, unhappy, unworthy
It is not about what you have or how much you get. It’s really about how grateful you are for what you have been given.
Gratitude brings peace and happiness. It is associated with knowledge; with the brighter aspects of life.
Lack of gratitude on the other hand necessarily causes restlessness and leads to unhappiness.
Consider the following types of people:
- Those that secure a job, but complain as they do not understand its value in relation to their capability
- Those that receive a handsome raise, that simply cannot seem to appreciate it
- Those that get promoted because they belong to a certain sect or background
- Those that live in a country that gives them everything one can aspire for without the least gratitude for what they have from simply taking birth there
The one feeling common to all such people is Unhappiness!
Lack of gratitude largely stems from lack of knowledge. And lack of knowledge is the most definite sign of the unworthy.
Interesting: Being ungrateful, being unhappy, having little knowledge, a feeling of entitlement, low self-esteem, a desperate need to try to fit and mediocracy, come together.
They are unhappy because they are ungrateful. They are ungrateful because they are unworthy and hence know not the value of what they get.
Why do we as a society put up with such crap? Why do we encourage it?
