Farming Vs Hunting

Hunting feeds! Some call it a sport. Some say that it is a single transaction where you exchange a bullet for a life. It feeds you once. You have to go back and kill one more time to feed yourself again. You are not building an ongoing source of sustenance. When man did not have the intellect to farm, he hunted.

Farming feeds! Most call it toil. It is growing life to keep life. It is a sustainable mechanism to feed many. It is physically and intellectually challenging and it nourishes not just people, but the environment as a whole. It may not be as sporty, but once you get it right, it yields great fruit.

Most of what we do in life is analogous to either hunting or farming. We fail to identify the impact of our choices as well as the baseline traits that go into driving them, for our focus is solely on immediate gratification; and in that, it is so easy to find justification!

There is place for both; but when his intelligence matured, man stated farming.

Adopt the right mechanism with intelligence and maturity in each aspect of your life.
