You guessed it right! Law!!!
Today, there is not a person that can do a thing of any consequence without “protecting” himself from the corrupted, malicious human brain…. Not an act, not a deed, not a thought, not a word of value, which cannot somehow be construed or used in a manner, so as to render you vulnerable or compromised or diminished or otherwise less effective, unless you protect yourself!
Why have we complicated life thus?
When a child is born, a document is created certifying his birth… Come time to get him physical immunity, it is again recorded, failing which the schools where he is admitted wouldn’t believe that his parents would have been responsible enough!
Time to get an admission… his paper work starts… things got to be documented, lest people not believe him in future when he says he learnt such and such… and there are such documents being created every step of his 16 or 18 or 20 year journey.
To travel, there is a document, to drive there is a document, to get married, there is a document, to buy a vehicle or a home, there is a document….
You name it… Everything that we do today, from birth to death… better be documented! No one will believe you as much as they do a document that you have signed!
Enter the professional or business world… God help!!! You might as well get a law degree or reserve a sizable portion of your earnings to pay a lawyer!
Oh by the way… you also need to know which lawyer you will need… a civil attorney, an immigration attorney, an attorney that specializes in sales or commercial taxes, or one that specializes in criminal cases…. And then, there are specialists and experts in each area of crime that may be committed!
Root cause…. A corrupt human brain!
The funny part: no one will ever accept that he could be the bad guy for which legal involvement upfront is required… it’s because the other person may not be trusted!
As a race, we have come to not trust anyone… May be it is because we know somewhere that we cannot be trusted either?
We know that our brains have gotten corrupted over the Millennia… And now there is no retracing our steps back!
We might as well accept that that’s what we have made of our societies and live in perpetual embarrassment for our corrupted, compromised purity….
What a shame!!!
