Disciplined Execution….

Flawless Execution is as critical to success as is Strategy; in fact, you may be able to cheat your way through strategy, but with poor execution, you will never get the outcome you desire…

1. Translate the big ideas that you have into simple tasks… This is typically harder than it might seem…

2. Identify the sequence and the dependencies to get you to the final goal… Plot your milestones and have the gate criteria established to help you verify if a milestone has in fact been achieved.

3. Have your metrics right… Nothing can be achieved without a score card. How far have you come! How much longer do you have to get there! Is the plan working!!!

4. Do you have the right team? It is sometimes better not to have someone in a role than to have the wrong person… Keep your team lean.

5. Check things off… Review constantly… People will do what you inspect and not what you expect!

You might say what I said in any number of ways… Ultimately, it boils down to DISCIPLINE!!!
