You can always earn lost money, you could even make up lost time as much as you cannot get it back…. The one thing that you can never regain is lost innocence!
It is one thing to lose it at an individual level… Most do, to some extent at least!
A sad, pathetic loser would be one, that not merely fails to resist evil, he is one that actively pursues negative tendencies… This is perversion.
While this is sad, what would be truly sad is when perversion occurs at a societal level! And sadly, we are all preview to and may be even participants of this mass human degradation.
Think about it! What were considered age old principles and codes of conduct until recently, are being effortless and thoughtlessly compromised. What were considered seriously objectionable or obscene for millennia, are today not merely viewed less critically, many are even considered trendy.
When lowly human behavior becomes the norm, it could take several generations to de-learn the lost values to rise back to where the human race always belonged. What a pity!
