It’s all about you…
I once had a friend who assumed the center stage of every conversation. This did not mean that he had to be directly spoken of… if was just that no matter who said what and in what context, he was convinced that it was a dart pointed at him.
His life was naturally miserable. Ours was too… as long as we were in his proximity.
You say a thing, he takes it… you don’t say a thing, he frets it! If someone references a person in the negative, he would consider it an indirect reference to him… if someone says something positive about someone else, he would sulk as someone else has been praised despite his monumental presence!
There is a problem you try to solve, he has a better solution; it would never have risen in the first place had he been in charge…. If something good happens, his wisdom would have foreseen it; he would have done it better!
The bottom line… the rest were wrong and he was right in that order.
No wonder, it was only a question of time before his closest of friends didn’t want to interact with him anymore.
We hope for him to grow up to be an adult some day!
