Indian History: Filling up gaps created by earlier historians
I recently read an article on Times of India titled, Filling up gaps created by earlier historians. While I am glad that the general discussion about the topic is finally being taken up for assessment, I am disappointed that this has to be such a difficult discussion.
It is unfortunate that Indians do not believe their own history and have little respect for their culture. Blatant evidence supporting Ramayana and Mahabharata are brushed aside to give way to the inappropriate branding of these great historical records as mere mythological tales by faith based fanatics that are inherently insecure and have ulterior motives. I see several younger people from India subscribing to the same flawed lines of thinking. This is especially true with the Indians that have adopted foreign religions. Unfortunate that Indians should undermine India, for their innate slave mentalities submitted their souls to the oppression of unholy foreign plunderers and traders!
