Good enough is not good enough
There are times when it makes no commercial sense to work beyond a certain point of completion… The debate invariably is about where one draws that line!
You call it good enough, but, your good enough may not be the same as my good enough. You might well blame me for producing something sub-standard, just like I can brand you as an unreasonable perfectionist that does not understand cost to value ratio.
Not withstanding the imminent blame game and the resultant chaos, “good enough” may not always be worth the risk associated with the availed concessions.
Quality of delivery is no-doubt subjective; however, with everything that you do, you are also leaving behind a trail of impressions that will come back to you. Exceed expectations every time, and your trail leads you on to places that you will cherish.
On the contrary, doing barely enough to where you feel it is good enough, invariably ends you up being judged as not being good enough.
Good enough might seem like you have done good enough for a moment… but every time your work is looked back at, you will know that the trail you created was not good enough!
Either which way, it’s best that you realize it yourself than to be made to realize that, good enough is not good enough!
