An exclusionary attitude is a sign of psychological regression….

The ‘Us’ Vs ‘Them’ attitude is good only in sports as long as it is cocooned in sportsmen spirit…. Everywhere else, it impedes progress at a minimum and eventually causes more destruction than any single party would have cared to have!

It is a sign of insecurity…. a protectionist attitude that generally stems from an inability to trust…. has its origins in human psyche and indicates stunted emotional and intellectual growth….

And when this grows beyond the individual to a group, it becomes that much more destructive a force….

Take that to a societal or a national level…. this is where some of the largest wars known to mankind were fought….

What was the end result??? Mass destruction!!!

Civilizations have ended, cultures obliterated, irreparable human damage caused…. All stemming from this human regressive trait!!!

We call such people who cause explicit visible destruction, bearing an extreme form of this exclusionary attitude…. “Terrorists”!!!

Now this is enough a reason for us to think…. “Am I a microcosmic instrument of this exclusionary/terrorist-like attitude in my little entourage”? Am I consumed with this “us Vs them” attitude through my speech, my actions, my deliberate non-cooperation, my back-talks, etc?

If you display this exclusionary attitude anywhere…. At home… at your work place… in a club or an organization that you are a part of… you are a definite negative tool in that vehicle…. And you need to be removed!

The alternative is to give the world a more matured ‘you’…. One that is secure enough to make it about the whole…. One that is committed to unity…. One that binds, strengthens and builds….
