Don’t Endure Life… Celebrate it!!!
Your culture, education, faith, elders, history and most times you yourself have encircled you in unforgiving fences!
“Can’t do that”… “That is wrong”… “That amounts to selfishness”… “That’s too risky”… “You can get that only if you ……”… “That’s not normal”…
How many times have you heard such things? You have been seasoned into a bound creature… living a life of self-denial… of restraint… of a belief that even thinking of certain things is wrong!!! And when you do think of or end up venturing just a little beyond your bounds, you are either battling inhibitions or preconceived notions or diffidence or will end up facing ridicule!
“Man is born free, but everywhere he is in chains”…. and these “chains” are the norms… the acceptable standards… the boundaries!!! And they have been set by the overwhelming majority in the world… the 95% of the people that believe in and preach and impose them on you…
Now let us consider the remaining 5%…. The “Greats”, The “Achievers”, The makers of “History”…. The reformers, the heroes, the enlightened ones, the explorers, the billionaires….
And it is them that we speak about in reverence… It is them that become our icons… our idols…
They never broke the law nor the moral code… ‘But they did dare to break the norm’!!! They were not afraid to pursue life like they wanted to…. They might have endured situations! Everyone does!!!
Life becomes an endurance when you feel spent living up to someone else’s standard! Life is to discover who you truly are and to unleash yourself in that direction! It’s a journey… it is yours… it is beautiful when it stays that way… Celebrate it!!!
