Automation, Intelligence and Purpose
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is insanity.
Doing the same thing over and over when the result is determinate is foolishness!
Automation is creating a mechanism that handles frequent repeatable tasks so you can focus on something more intelligible.
Smartness is the ability to identify the similarities in various things that seemingly vary, but can be converged down to common constructs. Automation created over such constructs can then enable a higher level of thinking as it frees us to use our time for solving more complex problems.
Intelligence is the ability to conceive a solution where common thought and known constructs do not always apply thereby enabling a higher level of efficiency, comfort, growth and existence.
At a stage where the world has come to not just accept, but expect automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc, would it not seem stupid to be spending life doing what can easily be offloaded to a software program or a robot?
The purpose of human life is to constantly grow… from stage to stage. And it is essential that we identify the areas which can be done away with, automated and offloaded so we can get to that next stage of our existence. Universe has made us intelligent for that purpose.
