How to sell anything to anybody
I was watching a few business and sales videos this morning on YouTube. I must say that people have their stuff together and they are good at what they do!
It is one thing to know the theory; but bringing that know how into ones experience is a different ball game. I wanted to put together the three things about sales that I gathered as I watched those videos.
Selling anything to anybody requires an understanding of how people think and feel and why they do what they do.
1. People don’t buy logic; they buy emotion. They use logic to justify their emotions.
2. People don’t buy their way into something; they buy their way out of something that they don’t currently like.
3. People don’t buy commodities; they buy stories. Facts tell, stories sell!
There were times when you might have succeeded and times when you failed. Can you relate to these three elements in both cases?
